first KEY POINT

The fear of death is what propels us to strive and develop as a society

Every one of us present in this current age won't witness the end of the world, but we've understood the evolution of life through science. Our actions are determined by the fact that we will not live forever. The tears we shed, the houses we build, the technological advancements we develop, etc., are all a result of the inevitability of death. The appeal of the law of nature to us is its timeless quality. What drives us to seek the timeless and the qualities that last forever is the singular awareness that we are not timeless and that our lives won't last forever. Across culture and through the ages, we have placed significant value on permanence. However, we have realized many truths about the future with science and technology, even though we are still far off from knowing it all.We emerge from timeless laws, yet we live and die trying to challenge those laws. Our concept of death or eternity is deeply rooted in our beliefs, culture, and environment. In the end, it doesn't matter what we believe in or how we believe in it; what matters is that we will one day cease to exist. The free will we so much believe in will also cease to exist, and we'll realize that it's nature that determines our existence, and not the other way around.

Laws of physics determine the future, and they guide our journey through life.

second KEY POINT

We live for the moment because our fears are born of the inevitability of death

As humans, we ultimately reflect on the past, imagine the future, and acknowledge the troubles that lie ahead. Our world and the circumstances in which we find ourselves have made us realize the toughness of life. Our present life heavily influences our future. The world we live in requires us to be competitive to survive. To work and play, to yearn and strive, to long and love, all of it is what's stitching us into the complexity of the lives we share. If we want to let go of life's troubles, there is only one answer: death. However, death is no child's play, and its prospect has enough power to create fear in our minds.
