Had they not been brave and pushed through boundaries, perhaps women would still be denied the right to vote even today.Sojourner Truth was an activist who refused to be silenced even though speaking out was extremely dangerous for her. Having been born into slavery, she escaped and became an inspiration for countless others. By using her voice and refusing to bow to extreme pressure, she pushed for not only the rights of women but the abolishment of slavery.
